More Kolde Grands :O)

We have 2 more grandkids...Gray 8 amd Emi 6...who live about 40 minutes away :O) For New Years they visited along with Mom and Dad. The guys went hunting for birds...see Annie, our black lab, and Lucy, their Brittany Spaniel, in the back of the truck with Dave and our son David and our grandson Gray. They had a great day of fun, but no birds...so no cleaning of birds! :O) Emi and Kaye and I baked wonderful chocolate peppermint reindeer cookies...yummie for the returning hunters. Emi decided that rolling and cutting out cookies was too messy and wanted to wash her hands between each creation...alas, we will stick to drop cookies in the future :O) One of these days we will get all of the kids together and have tons of fun! We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful bunch of kids!

Winterfest at Lake Chelan

This was fun. Lake Chelan has a wonderful event every year called Fire and Ice Winterfest...a small parade through town, chili feed in the park, ice skating and for the really crazy..a dip in the lake, then a roaring bonfire on the lake shore...lots of fun. There were several ice sculptures in town...here are a couple of the best. It has been a week since the event and many of the sculptures are still frozen in time :O) Does that tell you how cold it has been here! It is a wonderful and fun place to visit if you ever get the time :O)
